Latest Safe Haven adoptions

Monday, March 27th, 2006

Here are some happy updates on some of Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary’s latest adoptions.
Selma
If you don’t remember, Selma was a kitten who was blind. One of her eyes were filled with a mass of tissue that prevented any vision, and the other eye was only partially developed because of a chronic and irritating condition that […]

Selma’s story

Selma is a sweet kitten, part of a litter of homeless kittens that needed assistance, so a Safe Haven volunteer took them in to foster them until they find a permanent home. Selma, however, is blind. One of her eyes is filled with a mass of tissue that prevents any vision; the other eye […]

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

We had 6 kittens adopted today at the pet adoption fair, 3 of them were black kittens, so we were ecstatic. Unfortunately, no adult cats were adopted out. *sigh*
Here are photos of some of the kittens adopted today.

Safe Haven Adoptions

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

It looks like two more adult cats were adopted that I knew personally—Jasmine and Willow.

I’m so happy to know these two adult kitties were adopted.
Unfortunately, another adult cat who was one […]

Recent Safe Haven adoptions

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

Here are updates on cats and kittens that have been adopted since my last post. Unfortunately, there are even more, but I don’t have their photos. We’ve had 3 or 4 adult cats who were adopted which we’re always very happy about since it’s generally kittens that get adopted.
What I don’t understand is why […]

Not a “real” weekend

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

This last weekend didn’t seem like much of a weekend at all. I woke up Saturday morning and got ready to go to my first volunteer gig at the Lytton Gardens in Palo Alto. I’ve been volunteering there every other Saturday and was paired up with a woman named Olga. Olga is about 82 or […]

Kitties Available for Adoption

Sunday, December 18th, 2005

I’m happy to post that at today’s adoption fair, we adopted out 7 kitties. Here are pictures of a few of them:

This is Chai, a siamese-tabby mix kitten. She was adopted by a really wonderful couple.

This is dimples. She was previously adopted and was returned because her owner had to move, and her current apartment […]

Some cats that have been adopted

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

I started volunteering with Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary—the same organization from which I adopted my own cats, Fitz and Mia—about 2 weeks. Since that time, we’ve had about 7 cats adopted out at the pet fairs. Unfortunately, only one of them was an adult cat whom have the hardest time being adopted, even though they […]
